Public Services

Public services was one of two priority areas (with education) where National AI Use Cases were positioned as supporting projects. The roadmap pointed to early federal and state adoption — from the High-Tech Nation Council and MIDA's SME programmes to chatbots deployed on the KWSP and MOSTI portals — and to state-level digital strategies such as Smart Selangor 2025, Penang 2030 and the Sarawak Digital Economy Strategy.

Strategy 1's data-sharing initiative (1.5) was central to public-service AI: it targeted clear cross-government data-classification guidelines, a 100% increase in useful data made available to the public, and a top-40 ranking on the Global Open Data Index.
